Celebrating Burns Night at Campsie View Care Home

Burns Day Snacks

Here at Campsie View Care Home in Kirkintilloch we go all out for our Burns Day Celebrations. Excitement started early as our residents created decorations in our arts & crafts sessions, donning posters and bunting with Scottish flags and icons. Residents expressed their creativity as a sense of anticipation and Scottish pride filled our home. This Burns-themed art project was proudly displayed in our communal areas for everyone to enjoy.

On the day, we marked the life of our National Bard, Robert Burns, in true Scottish style, with haggis, neeps and tatties, along with plenty of other Scottish delights. The delicious food was lovingly crafted by our incredible in-house chefs, who work hard to make delicious and nutritious meals that every resident will enjoy. These traditions sparked precious memories and meaningful conversations among our residents, staff and families.

Celebrating cultural events like these fosters a valuable sense of belonging for our residents, promoting inclusivity enhancing emotional wellbeing. We are proud of the respectful and supportive environment we have created here at Campsie View that strengthens community bonds and encourages engagement in therapeutic activities. Families and visitors are always welcome to visit and these celebrations are a brilliant opportunity to share stories and make memories with loved ones.
